An abstraction of uplifting moments in our lives. What happens while we are planning something else, perhaps. Brushwork is intentionally contrasting, at times vaporous, at others hard. I have short gestures and fractured shapes. I wanted an energetic rendering to convey the need to maintain our emotional impulses sharp. We must query at all times what we are asked to believe by the media. We need to assess what we are told, to dare to dispute what we are led to believe are absolute truths.
A small poster in a Boardroom that reminded us that life is what happens while we are planning something else. I instantly thought of an abstract work that would reflect uncertainty and strong brushstrokes that would have no meaningful structure.
